Processi innovativi biologici e bio-elettrochimici per la produzione di idrogeno da matrici organiche di scarto

BRIC INAIL 2022 is a collaborative project involving six Italian research groups from the Universities of Venice, Verona, Rome, Naples, and Pisa, and ATS (Alto Trevigiano Servizi S.p.A.). The project, funded by the INAIL , aims at enhancing emerging technologies and upgrading existing ones for the production of bio-hydrogen from organic residue matrices, aligning with circular economy principles. The project focuses on optimizing various technologies, including dark fermentation, photo-fermentation, bio-electrochemical systems, and immobilized cell systems (fixed or fluidized bed bioreactors).

LabICAB exploits recalcitrant and partially biodegradable agricultural matrices to produce bio-hydrogen by developing and optimising continuous dark fermentation processes.
